Terms of Service

The rules and agreements that govern your enrollment in South Florida Career Center courses and your use of southfloridacareercenter.com.

Last Updated: June 8, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and South Florida Career Center, Inc. ("SFCC," "we," "us," "our"), a Florida corporation operating under DBPR License ZH1002321. By visiting our website at southfloridacareercenter.com (the "Site"), creating an account, or enrolling in a course (the "Services"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Site or Services.

2. Eligibility

To enroll in any SFCC course, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information at enrollment
  • Have the legal right to enter contracts in your jurisdiction
  • Meet any course-specific prerequisites (for example, the 72-Hour Broker Pre-License requires an active Florida sales associate license and 24 months of qualifying experience)

If you do not meet the eligibility requirements, you may not enroll. We may verify eligibility at any time and may cancel enrollments that don't qualify.

3. Course Delivery

Online (Self-Paced) Courses

Online courses are delivered through our third-party partner, Dearborn Real Estate Education (a 360training company). By enrolling in an online course, you also agree to Dearborn's terms of use and privacy policy as published on their platform. SFCC is responsible for course catalog listing, customer support, and DBPR certificate filing; Dearborn is responsible for course content, online portal access, and exam administration.

Online portal access is granted for six (6) months from the date of enrollment. If you do not complete the course within that window, you may need to re-enroll. See Section 7 for our re-enrollment policy.

Live Zoom Classes

Live classes are delivered by SFCC directly via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link, materials access, and a confirmation email after payment. You are responsible for:

  • Having a working device, internet connection, microphone, and camera
  • Attending sessions on time
  • Not sharing the Zoom link, passcode, or recordings with anyone outside your class

Missed sessions can be made up by watching class recordings (available within 24 hours), but consistent absence may delay your certificate.

4. Payment, Pricing & Taxes

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Payment is processed through our payment provider (Stripe) at the time of enrollment. By paying, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide.

Sales tax is applied where required by law. You are responsible for any fees your bank or card issuer charges.

We may change course prices at any time. New prices apply only to enrollments made after the change.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds and cancellations are governed by our dedicated Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it for the full refund windows, completion thresholds, and how to request a refund. In summary: Live Zoom seats are refundable up to 48 hours before the class start, and online courses are refundable within 7 days if less than 30% complete (14 days / 20% for the 120-Hour Home Inspection) — and because of our Pay Once, No Re-Enrollment Fees model, you can re-enroll for free instead of refunding. The Refund Policy page is the controlling document for any refund matter.

6. DBPR Certificate Filing

Once you successfully complete a course (passing the required final exam), SFCC will file your completion certificate electronically with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) within 48 hours. You will also receive a copy of your certificate by email for your own records.

Activating your license with DBPR remains your responsibility. SFCC does not submit your license activation paperwork to DBPR — only the course completion record.

7. Re-Enrollment Policy

If you do not complete a course within the access window, do not pass the final exam within Florida's allowed attempts, or simply need more time, SFCC will re-enroll you in the same course at no additional cost. There is no second payment, no re-purchase fee, no surprise charges. This applies indefinitely.

To request a re-enrollment, reach out through our contact page.

8. Course Final Exam Attempts

Florida Administrative Code Rule 61J2-3.008 (and related rules for post-license and reactivation courses) caps the course final exam at two (2) attempts per enrollment, with a mandatory 30-day waiting period between attempts. If you do not pass within those two attempts, Florida law requires you to retake the entire course.

SFCC's "No Re-Enrollment Fees" policy means we will re-enroll you for free if that happens. See Section 7.

9. Acceptable Use

When using the Site, our portal, or attending Live Zoom classes, you agree NOT to:

  • Share login credentials, portal access, or Zoom links with anyone
  • Record Zoom sessions without the instructor's written permission
  • Redistribute, sell, or publish course materials, recordings, or content (see Section 10)
  • Submit work that is not your own as part of any course assessment
  • Harass, threaten, or disrupt instructors, classmates, or staff
  • Use the Site or Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures, scrape data, or interfere with the Site's operation

Violations may result in immediate termination of your enrollment without refund and may be reported to DBPR or law enforcement.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, in our courses (including text, video, audio, graphics, course materials, and the SFCC name and logo) is the property of South Florida Career Center, Inc., its licensors (including Dearborn / 360training), or other rights holders, and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the course content for your personal, non-commercial educational use only, during the period of your enrollment. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, publicly display, or create derivative works from any course content without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers

No State Exam Pass Guarantee. SFCC does NOT guarantee that you will pass the Florida real estate state exam, the broker state exam, the home inspector state exam, or any other licensing exam. Course completion satisfies DBPR's education requirement, but passing the state exam depends on your own preparation, study habits, and exam performance. Anyone who claims otherwise is being dishonest.

The Site and Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses.

SFCC is not responsible for delays, omissions, or errors caused by third-party services (including Dearborn, Stripe, Zoom, your internet provider, or DBPR processing times).

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will SFCC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, lost income, lost data, or lost opportunities — arising out of or related to your use of the Site or Services.

Our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid SFCC for the specific course at issue in the 12 months before the claim arose.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SFCC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site or Services, or your violation of any third-party rights.

14. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

You waive the right to participate in any class action or class-wide arbitration against SFCC.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top and, if the changes are material, notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site or Services after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
