Common Questions

What Newly Licensed Brokers Ask Before Enrolling

When do I have to complete my 60-hour broker post-license course?
Florida requires you to complete the 60-hour broker post-license course before your first broker license renewal. Your first broker renewal date is between 18 and 24 months after you initially activate your broker license. Miss the deadline and your broker license becomes null and void — you'd have to retake the 72-hour broker pre-license course and the broker state exam again. Don't wait until the last month.
Does this replace my first 14-hour CE requirement as a broker?
Yes. Completing your 60-hour broker post-license course satisfies your continuing education (CE) requirement for your first broker renewal cycle. You won't owe a separate 14-hour CE until your second broker renewal (two years later).
What's the difference between Online and Live Zoom?
Both cover the identical FREC-approved 60-hour curriculum and satisfy the same renewal requirement. Online ($269) is self-paced — start instantly, no live class to attend. Live Zoom ($419) is interactive — you attend a 2-week cohort with a working Florida broker as your instructor, real-time Q&A, hands-on trust account workshop with real DBPR audit examples, and 1-on-1 broker operations consult.
I'm a broker-associate, not the broker of a firm. Do I still need this?
Yes. Florida requires the broker post-license course of every newly licensed broker — whether you operate as a broker-associate under another firm or as the broker-of-record at your own firm. Same license, same renewal requirement. The course is just as useful for broker-associates negotiating higher splits and supervising junior agents.
Is there a final exam?
Yes — Florida requires an end-of-course exam with a passing score of 75%. The Online course delivers the exam through our proctored portal. Live Zoom students take the exam at the end of the cohort. Florida law caps the final at 2 attempts per enrollment with a 30-day wait between, but here's the difference: if you don't pass within those 2 attempts, we re-enroll you free instead of charging you again like other schools do. Pay once with SFCC — no second payment, no matter how many times it takes.
Can I take this course in Spanish?
Yes — our Live Zoom cohorts are offered in both English and Spanish. Look for "Bilingüe (Español)" in the cohort schedule. The Online (self-paced) version is currently English only.
How fast does my certificate get filed with DBPR?
Within 48 hours of completion. We file electronically with DBPR, so your renewal credit posts to your broker license record before you'd ever see it through the slower manual filing process some schools use. You'll get a copy of the certificate for your own records too.
What's your refund policy?
Online: full refund within 7 days if you haven't completed more than 30% of the course. Live: full refund up to 48 hours before your cohort start date. Beyond those windows, we don't refund — but we don't need to, because your enrollment doesn't expire. Come back whenever you're ready.
