Common Questions

What Future Brokers Ask Before Enrolling

Do I qualify to sit the Florida broker state exam?
To sit the broker state exam in Florida, you must:

• Hold an active Florida sales associate license
• Have completed at least 24 months of active experience as a sales associate within the previous 5 years
• Complete this 72-hour broker pre-license course

Not sure if your experience qualifies? Book a free 15-minute eligibility call — we'll check your DBPR record before you pay.
How long until I'm actually a licensed broker?
Our live 3-week cohort covers the full 72 hours. After completion, you schedule your broker state exam through Pearson VUE — usually within 1–2 weeks. Add Florida's 60-hour broker post-license course (required before your first broker renewal) and the realistic timeline is 4–6 weeks from enrollment to passing exam result, then post-license over your first 18 months as a broker.
What's the difference between Online and Live Zoom?
Both cover the identical FREC-approved 72-hour curriculum and qualify you for the same broker state exam. Online ($479) is self-paced — start instantly, no live class to attend. Live Zoom ($649) is interactive — you attend the 3-week cohort with a working Florida broker as your instructor, real-time Q&A, 1-on-1 broker strategy sessions on opening your own firm, and lifetime cohort access for future broker refreshers.
Do I have to open my own brokerage after passing?
No. Many brokers stay broker-associates under another broker's firm — same broker license, higher commission splits, no overhead of running an office. You only need to register as the broker of a brokerage if you actually want to open your own firm and supervise other agents. Both paths use the same broker license.
What about the 60-hour broker post-license?
Florida requires every newly licensed broker to complete a 60-hour post-license course before their first broker renewal (within 18–24 months of activating your broker license). It's a separate course — see our 60-Hour Broker Post-License. Both pre- and post-license are required to maintain your broker license long-term.
Can I take this course in Spanish?
Yes — our Live Zoom cohorts are offered in both English and Spanish. Look for "Bilingüe (Español)" in the cohort schedule. The Online (self-paced) version is currently English only. The Florida broker state exam itself can be taken in Spanish at Pearson VUE testing centers.
What if I don't pass the broker state exam on the first try?
The broker state exam is genuinely harder than the sales associate exam — most people who fail it once pass on the second attempt. You pay once and you're in for life: re-enroll free in any future cohort, sit in on any future exam prep session, get coaching from your instructor focused on what tripped you up. No second payment, no re-purchase, no re-enrollment fee.
What's your refund policy?
Online: full refund within 7 days if you haven't completed more than 30% of the course. Live: full refund up to 48 hours before your cohort start date. Beyond those windows, we don't refund — but we don't need to, because your enrollment doesn't expire. Come back whenever you're ready.
