Common Questions

What Students Ask Before Enrolling

What's the difference between Online and Live Zoom?
Both cover the identical DBPR-mandated 14-hour curriculum and both produce the same certificate. Online ($25) is self-paced through Dearborn's portal — start instantly, finish whenever, final exam at the end. Live Zoom ($99) is one weekend live with a Florida-licensed instructor — Saturday and Sunday, real-time Q&A, no final exam. Same outcome, different style.
Do I have to complete all 14 hours in one sitting?
No. The online course lets you pause and resume anytime. Most students finish in 3–5 sessions over a week. The Zoom class is split across Saturday and Sunday — about 7 hours each day with breaks.
How is completion reported to the DBPR?
We electronically transmit your completion to the DBPR promptly after you finish — well inside the state's reporting deadline. You'll also receive a PDF certificate immediately by email for your records.
Can I take this course in Spanish?
Yes — our live classes are taught in English, and we set up dedicated Spanish classes on request. Call (305) 316-5587 and we'll arrange a Spanish weekend for you.
What if I fail the final exam?
The final exam only applies to the Online (Dearborn) version. If you don't pass, you get a retake — and if you ever need to re-enroll, you won't pay again. That's our free re-enrollment policy. Live Zoom and in-person classes don't have a final exam — full attendance through both days completes the course.
"Your next renewal course is on us" — what's the catch?
No catch. Renew with us now and your next 14-hour CE course with us is free — same live weekend format. Why do it? We're a family school — we'd rather keep a student for years than spend that money on advertising.
Is this course approved by the DBPR?
Yes. South Florida Career Center is a DBPR-approved real estate school (license ZH1002321). The Online version is delivered through Dearborn's FREC-approved portal. The Live Zoom version is taught under our school's approval.
What's your refund policy?
Online: full refund within 7 days if you haven't completed more than 30% of the course. Live Zoom: full refund up to 48 hours before your class start time. Email us anytime — we're flexible if circumstances change.
